It’s one of the most seeked surgeries. It is indicated to women who already had prior pregnancies, and present a flaccid abdomen, many times with stretch marks and fat. Men are also indicated for this surgery when presenting loose abdominal skin and fat, or post surgery bariatric. The surgery consists on the removal of the excess skin, fat and tightening of the abdominal muscles. The patients are placed under general anesthesia or regional nerve block, being discharged from hospital one day after the surgery. At post operative period, it is recommended the use of a waist band, relative rest and lymphatic drainage. The return to work will depend on the kind of activity and on the overall recovery.
